Save your money...Mine is just awful! I loved the picture of this item...I had just the place to put it in my home where it would look great. It does look great. It just hardly works. The whole thing only weighs a pound or two...this should have clued me in right away when unpacking it. The switches have an imprecise and awful feel and seem very delicate. The sound quality is very poor (Remember those less than $5 transistor radios?) and the reception is worse. Even the strongest stations in my area only come in with a great deal of fuzzy sound and you can always hear the radio stations near them in the back ground. I haven't bought anything electronic that was this bad in years. Don't be fooled by the good looks...in this case beauty really is only skin deep. Cute and retro! My son got this for Christmas and for some weird reason it would not always play when we pushed play for the cd....sometimes we had to push the button several times then push stop to get it to play...it would also switch to military time at random. These things happen even with the best of electronics, sometimes exchanges need to be made. We ordered another and returned the first one, we haven't had any problems and it has been working perfectly. It looks great in his room, and we love it! I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cute retro style radio. My son loves cars and it goes perfectly in his room with all of his vintage car signs. We also plan to purchase it in pink for our daughter. Overall it is a great radio/cd player! P-E-R-F-E-C-T !! We bought the BLUE version of this for my son on his 5th birthday and cannot tell you how much he loves it. My son wanted a Disney Cars version, which was more expensive and a piece of junk... this goes well with the artwork from that movie- and is a much better investment for our money. He LOVED it. He has had it for about 6 months and it has been his most prized possession ever since. The alarm feature is nice and the fact that this will easily grow with him into adulthood. The sound quality is excellent, it is simple to use and very well designed. Any product that can stand up to frequent unsupervised use by my child gets a big thumbs up for quality and durability. The most striking feature of this radio though, is its design. It gets a lot of attention from visitors. It is a really cool item for anyone's bedside. Great gift idea- any little boy would be fascinated by this- and encouraged to discover music. Great idea for an adult as well. I'd personally love the pink one.

The killer alarm clock This alarm clock has a brilliant feature that should have been standard years ago: the ability to set or disable different timed alarms for weekdays or weekends. The "fall asleep" ocean/woods sounds are just a bit too repeptious, but the gradually louder chamber-bells-wake-up sound is the best I've ever heard. The buttons are not that intuitive at first, but after a couple days I didn't find it harder than any other digital alarm clock. The lighted digital display and analog face can be set to low or bright light, and battery back-up allows me to sleep without the fear and worry of not being woken in time. I would definitely make this purchase again. Retro Look Combines with Ease of Use to make a Great Clock! I've only had it for a week, but I LOVE my new clock. I love its retro styling, which fits in wonderfully with the decor of our bedroom, and I love the fact that it combines an analog and digital clock into one.Easy to learn to use, easy to get going, etc. Great alarm, which grows louder the longer you wait to turn it off, etc. The only drawback I found was that it took me until last night to figure out how to get the clock's internal light to turn down so it didn't blind me in the night.Forget the naysayers, enjoy this clock!

NEAT TALKING ALARM MY SON LIKES IT BECAUSE IT HAS BUTTONS THAT MAKE IT TALK. IT IS NICE AND LOUD, TOO:) Speed, I am speed, now.....wake up! This obnoxious alarm clock certainly works. My daughter loves Mater & Lightning McQueen. Two years later and it is still working, despite how many times she plays the different sayings. The clock program is a little tricky, but other than that, this alarm clock has taken alot of abuse and still wakes...or works.

Seems to work just fine with the exception of the little cloud cartoon Cartoon of clouds doesn't change, but husband is a weather nut so he loves this thing. Outside temp doesn't always register I'm very happy with this product, despite the fact that it does not always register the outside temp. I get dashes instead of numbers every couple days, haven't figured out yet what may be interfering with it, but pushing the down arrow for a few seconds gets it searching for the signal again and it always registers when I do that. I live in a cold area and am hoping the lithium batteries really do let it register those temps below -4 degrees this winter (unless, better yet, we don't have those this year!). Good product for the money. Great item, everyone should have one!!!!!! This is a terrific product, everyone should have one of these. I has all the important things you need to know about the weather. Great buy too!

Very nice alarm clock for the money, good value What differentiates this alarm clock from the others? Quite a few things separate this clock from most of the pack. I have listed the noteworthy features of this clock below: 1. The battery backup assures you won't oversleep 2. There is a battery indicator so you know when to change the battery backup 3. You never need to reset the time when the power goes out. The clock is preset at the factor and has the correct time when you plug it in. You select from the following time zones (Atlantic, Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaskan, or Hawaiian) 4. You can set the clock for day light savings time and make leap year adjustments to keep the time and week on track 5. You can set the clock to have different times during the week and weekend all at one time 6. There is a dual alarm feature 7. There are many different options for what you will wake up to (Radio, Nature Sounds, or Buzzer) 8. You can adjust the illumination on the face if you like a dark room or a bright display 9. Four nature sounds (Ocean Surf, Birds, Brook, or Wind Chimes) 10. There is a timer that will turn off the nature sounds or radio in either 90, 60, 30 or 15 minutes so that you can fall asleep to sound 11. You can preset 18 radio stations For the money, this is a nice alarm clock. Very disappointing I bought one of these as I really liked the way it looked, and for the nature sound feature. It takes a bit of effort to set the settings, as the instructions are confusing, at best. The main problem, and the reason I will never buy a Timex clock radio again, is that after a few months, the volume began to get lower and lower, and the volume thumbwheel no longer worked, eventually, no sound at all. The clock worked fine. I called SDI and they were willing to replace it if I sent in the deffective unit, but when I weighed the cost of shipping, etc, it was'nt worth it. I called and expalined the problem to SDI Tech help, and they said they had no idea how this could happen. Believe it or not, I bought another one, because I liked the look and features so much, and after a few months, it had the exact same problem. No more. Very disappointing, beware. Difficult to use Junk 1. Very hard to set, you must read poor instruction manual carefully. I've had to dig out the instructions several times as near impossible to just look at clock then set. 2. I work rotating shift work so have to change alarm times often, takes a long time to move alarm. 3. Has 3 levels of back light on face, even on low setting the light is to bright so have to keep clock facing away from me. 4. Has radio, but again difficult to use, so I use nature/buzz alarm only. Now the bad stuff, worked OK for about 2 months but now: 1. Power button won't work so can't turn radio on. 2. The dimmer/snooze button works for snooze but I can no longer cycle through the 3 different light levels. 3. All 4 nature sounds are gone, when set they sound BUZZ alarm only. I've unplugged unit & pulled BATT's hoping to get unit to reset itself, but no luck. I'm very dissapointed with Timex. Very poor design. Poor quality. I will replace clock with a different brand.
